Over the course of 8-10 months, the program will include:
- A Tableau Creator license: Each Fellow will receive a Creator license valid for two years.
- Three (3) X two-day virtual/in-person (depending on local travel restrictions) Tableau trainings: Fellows will receive trainings as a cohort. Trainings include Tableau Desktop I, Tableau Desktop II, and Data Storytelling.
- Five (5) two-hour virtual meetings with the other Fellows (convened by EM2030): Each virtual meeting will give Fellows an opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences and to seek help with their own data visualization and analysis questions.
- One (1) final presentation: one final virtual meeting where Fellows will present their products to the other Fellows and stakeholders from EM2030 and Tableau.
- Tableau mentorship: The Tableau Foundation will pair each fellow with a technical Tableau mentor to support the Fellow with personalized, one-on-one technical guidance.
- EM2030 focal point: EM2030 will pair each Fellow with an EM2030 focal point for support such as questions about the SDG Gender Index, other data technical questions, advocacy and/or communications support.
- Connection with local advocates: Fellows will have the opportunity to meet local advocates (EM2030 national partners) at least twice during the project, for example for help identifying issues for investigation or to provide further context and lived experience related to the issues raised in the data.
- $1,500 cash stipend: The stipend will come in the form of an unrestricted grant and will be disbursed in part up front and in part after the final presentation.
- The potential for additional presentations in national/regional/global conferences (to be confirmed, depending on themes covered, products produced, travel restrictions linked to international conferences, etc.)
